We Submitted A Petition To Certify Our Union!

This morning, a group of FCPL staff submitted a union petition to FCPL Director, James Kelly. Our meeting was brief, but friendly. We shared our common vision to ensure that the library was a place where all of us, full- and part-timers alike, can build meaningful, sustainable careers that support ourselves and our families

We also shared with Director Kelly that we have reached out to the arbitrator who worked with the Anne Arundel County Public Library to certify their bargaining units. The arbitrator is also available to help us through our process here at the library.

Our attorney with AFSCME contacted Director Kelly today to follow up. As we get more details, we will share them with everyone.
